Killed for a nothing!

Just outside the Thuma Reserve in Malawi,  the killers are waiting!

Dear Madam, Sir,

we heard of your engagement for nature conservation and fight against poverty in developing countries. But first of all, I would like to ask you to be so kind and have a look at our website to verify our identity and engagement:

A total of about 14000 Euro would be required to rehabilitate the hippo sanctuary and protect the fast dwindling hippo population due to poaching. At the same time we could give many families in this rural community again income from tourists visiting the sanctuary as it was before a bushfire burned down everything.

For to take immediate action, it would be required to raise about 2500 Euro to be able to secure the area by employing wildlife scouts for about one year to patrol and watch the hippos before they are all killed by poachers. At the Moment only 7 of the previous 18 hippos returned to the sanctuary! This amount of about 2500 Euro would at least give us time for to raise the full amount to rehabilitate the sanctuary.

I am sorry for the inconvenience but desperate situations require desperate measures!

Zu Gunsten Ramet Chinyama’s Flusspferd-Projekt in Malawi baut die Wildlife Action Group International eine lebensgroße Weihnachtskrippe auf. Besucher können die Krippe, die in der Nähe der Waldgaststätte Filzenklas bei Tuntenhausen, Landkreis Rosenheim, steht, ab dem 1. Advent besichtigen. Mit dem Erlös möchte die Wildlife Action Group Ramet Chinyama unterstützen, sein vor über 1 Jahr einem Feuer zum Opfer gefallenes Gelände wieder aufzubauen, so daß sowohl die Flusspferde, deren Zahl sich seither durch Wilderei und staatlichen Abschuss immer mehr dezimieren, sich wieder auf ein sicheres Projektgelände flüchten können, wie auch Ramet, seine Arbeiter und deren Familien wieder durch Tourismuseinnahmen finanziell unterstützt werden können. Für das Projekt werden 14.000 Euro benötigt.
