WE HELP PEOPLE TO pROTECT NATURE

20 years nature conservation in Africa are our reference!

The elephant slaughter starts again!

Since the Wildlife Action Group took over the management of

Thuma Forest Reserve in 1996 no elephant had been killed anymore, but in June 2007 it was decided in a CITES meeting in De Hague that some African countries could sell their ivory again!

More elephant will be slaughtered and our scouts will be in even greater danger!

Help us to create jobs to fight  destruction of nature in developing countries!

From our longstanding experience we know:

Mere protection of wildlife and their habitat without profit-orientated management is a bottomless pit and doesn't work.

If conservation activities affect people, the protected area has to become an asset for them, which improves their living conditions.

WILDLIFE ACTION GROUP INTERNATIONAL

only supports and implements projects where those principals can be assured!

Our mission and objectives:

  • Planning and implementation of sustainable long-term protection measures for the wildlife and their habitat in developing countries.

  • Training and deployment of scouts and other specialized personnel.

  • Development and support of wildlife orphanages and the reintroduction of hand raised animals back into the wild.

  • Establishment of  employment opportunities and income-generating activities for local communities in or around conservation areas in developing countries.

  • Development of fair trade possibilities for handicrafts and rural products from communities surrounding conservation areas.

  • Promotion, development and support of eco-tourism projects

Therefore we need in our projects:

.....but also the support and assistance of persuaded nature conservationists and partners all over the world!
